Last month I blogged about the need to improve the accessibility of the Erleigh Road area for people in wheelchairs or with buggies.
I'm pleased to report that after I initially raised the matter with them, officers from RBC visited the area this week with the constituent who first raised the issue with me. Their visit took in Erleigh Road, Addington Road, Craven Road and Donnington Gardens and marked problems on the pavements. Many of these streets need dropped kerbs. Officers tell me that they hope this work will be carried out by the Council soon, however severe pressure on budgets could cause delays.
